Sportswear group Puma recently appointed Nadia Kokni as vice president for Global Brand Marketing, which took effect on January 1, strengthening its senior leadership as the company sharpens its global brand strategy.
Kokni joins Puma’s global leadership team and will report directly to Chief Brand Officer Maria Valdes. In her new role, she will oversee global brand marketing strategy, creative direction, and integrated marketing and communications, as Puma accelerates efforts to elevate storytelling around its product icons and innovation pipeline.
The appointment comes amid a broader organizational shift at Puma, which recently consolidated Brand Marketing, Product, Creative Direction, Innovation, and Go-To-Market into a single global structure under Valdes. The move is designed to align product creation more closely with brand narrative and consumer engagement.
Kokni brings extensive international experience across sport, fashion, and lifestyle brands. She has held senior roles at JD Sports, H&M, adidas, and Tommy Hilfiger, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications at Hugo Boss, where she led large-scale brand transformation and digital acceleration.
Valdes described Kokni as a “world-class marketing leader” whose expertise will help Puma build stronger brand heat and deeper consumer connections worldwide. Kokni said she was joining Puma at a pivotal moment, citing its opportunity to lead at the intersection of sport, culture, and performance.
She replaces Richard Teyssier, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
