Samsung Electronics recently unveiled three devices that push the boundaries of artificial intelligence (AI), mobile performance, and sustainable digital displays. Leading the lineup is the Galaxy A07 5G, launched Thursday, which brings AI-powered features to a wider audience while boosting battery life and display performance.
Power and resilience
The Galaxy A07 5G features Samsung’s AI integration with Google Gemini and Circle to Search, letting users navigate apps, ask questions, and explore content directly on their device. It is powered by a 6,000mAh battery, a 120% increase over the previous model, and a 6.7-inch edge-to-edge display with a 120Hz refresh rate and High Brightness Mode that peaks at 800 nits for clear outdoor viewing.
The device is designed for resilience, with IP54 dust and water resistance, a glass-fiber-reinforced polymer back, and 50MP dual rear cameras alongside an 8MP front camera. Samsung promises up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, supported by its Knox Vault security platform. The Galaxy A07 5G will roll out in select regions starting January 30, in Black, Light Violet, and Light Green.
For the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, distributed to nearly 3,800 athletes from 90 countries. Tailored for both performance and ceremony, the device integrates Galaxy AI with a flexible edge-to-edge FlexWindow, a 50MP wide + 12MP ultra-wide dual camera system, and features like Now Brief, Photo Assist, and On-device Interpreter for real-time translation.
Unique design elements — a blue back, gold metal frame, and Victory Selfie capability — allow athletes to capture podium moments and team celebrations, extending the Winter Olympics debut of Samsung’s Victory Selfie initiative.
Smart, green, flexible
Samsung also expanded its Color E-Paper lineup with the 13-inch EM13DX, the world’s first commercial display built with bio-resin derived from phytoplankton. The A4-sized device offers 1,600×1,200 resolution, ultra-low power usage, and flexible mounting, aiming to replace printed signage in commercial spaces.
UL-certified materials include 45% recycled plastic and 10% bio-resin, reducing carbon emissions by over 40%. The EM13DX is compatible with Samsung’s E-Paper App and VXT platform for remote management and content updates.
